Dr. Ofer Reiter Agar is a board-certified dermatologist who completed his Cutaneous-Oncology fellowship at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, USA. Currently, he leads the skin cancer screening clinic at Rabin Medical Center’s dermatology department . Additionally, Dr. Reiter heads the dermatology practice at the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center at Ramat-Aviv Medical Center.
With the rank of assistant professor, Dr. Reiter also takes on the role of dermatology course coordinator in the New-York program within the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, serves as the secretary of the Israeli Dermoscopy Society and as a board member of the International Dermoscopy Society, a global organization with thousands of members dedicated to advancing the education and research of skin cancer diagnosis worldwide. His primary focus in both clinical practice and research revolves around the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Reiter’s comprehensive expertise ensures the highest level of care for his patients.
Dr. Ofer Reiter Agar graduated with honors from Tel Aviv University Medical School before embarking on his journey in dermatology and venereology at the dermatology department of Rabin Medical Center, Beilinson Campus. Following his certification as a board-certified dermatologist, he secured a coveted position in a prestigious two-year fellowship program at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA.
During his fellowship, Dr. Reiter honed his expertise in the application of cutting-edge non-invasive imaging technologies for the early detection of skin cancer. These technologies encompass dermoscopy, computerized whole-body photography, reflectance confocal microscopy, and more. These advancements not only enhance the precision of skin cancer diagnoses but also reduce the need for unnecessary biopsies.
